Research at the department of Biochemistry and Biophysics spans a wide range of areas covering different aspects of the structure and function of biological systems, and a large number of projects involve different aspects of biological membranes.
The department has more than 30 active research groups and a strong interdisciplinary approach to research spanning cell biology, biochemistry, neurochemistry, biophysics and theory.
