The Department of Ecology, Environment and Plant Sciences was formed in January 1, 2013, and has about 160 employees. The department is located in connection to the Arrhenius Laboratories at Stockholm University campus area. During 2015 the department's premises were built with unique solutions for the complex biological research that is accommodated. Integrated with the top floor there is for example greenhouse modules with different climates represented, ranging from tropical rain forest to Swedish nature. It is a modern research and teaching environment with a main focus on green biology.
