Infrastructure
Organic chemistry has access to advanced instruments for research in the subject. For example, we have access to six NMR spectrometers and four mass spectrometers.
Below you will find more information about these.
NMR spectrometers
The department of organic chemistry has access to six liquid state NMR spectrometers with a wide selection of field strengths, ranging from 400 MHz to 700 MHz.
The spectrometers are split in two groups, those available at all times, and those shared with the department of biochemistry and biophysics.
Our NMR spectrometers are:
500 MHz (11.7 T)
Avance II
5 mm BBI/BBO probe with option to run coupled 19F
400 MHz Auto 1 (9.4 T)
Bruker Avance Neo
5 mm SmartProbeTM 400 MHz for broadband observation, equipped with Z-gradients, and set up for the following nuclei: 1H, 11B, 13C, 15N, 19F, 29Si, 31P.
Automation using the IconNMR walk-up system
400 MHz Auto 2 (9.4 T)
Avance Jurassic
