Research Centre for School Development and Collaboration

Partnership for School Development

Bridging Research and School Practice

The R&D Centre at Stockholm University serves as a dynamic hub connecting academic research with everyday school practice. We collaborate closely with school authorities, preschools, schools, government agencies, and other education stakeholders to develop sustainable, research-based approaches that enhance learning environments.

Our mission is to improve quality, equity, and student achievement across the entire education system – from early childhood education to adult learning.

Led by the Department of Education and Didactics, and in partnership with multiple research teams, we bring together expertise in school leadership, organisational learning, inclusion, career guidance, multilingualism, and didactics.

What we offer:

  • Tailored commissioned training programmes
  • Expert support, evaluations, and research-based investigations
  • National collaboration initiatives for school improvement
  • Long-term development projects for schools facing significant challenges
  • Networks and support for school leaders navigating complex environments

Whether you’re looking to support local development, build professional skills, or engage in collaborative research projects, the R&D Centre is your trusted partner for advancing school development. Together, we shape the future of education where research and practice go hand in hand.
