Lithuanian I

If you have been accepted to the course, then you will receive more information concerning registration in August. The course starts week 36.

his is a beginners' course that focuses on language proficiency and the Lithuanian cultural context.

The aim of the course is for you to gain a certain practical oral and written proficiency in Lithuanian language usage as well as basic knowledge about the Lithuanian language and its cultural context.

No previous knowledge of Lithuanian is required.

The course covers the basics in Lithuanian grammar, pronunciation, morphology, syntax, oral and written skills, as well as Lithuanian and Baltic linguistics, history, culture and society.

Modules

The course consists of the following modules:

  • Language language proficiency A, 7.5 credits
  • Language language proficiency B, 7.5 credits
  • Baltic linguistics - Lithuanian, 7.5 credits
  • Baltic history, culture and society - Lithuania, 7.5 credits

Examiner

The schedule will be available no later than one month before the start of the course. We do not recommend print-outs as changes can occur. At the start of the course, your department will advise where you can find your schedule during the course.
Note that the course literature can be changed up to two months before the start of the course.
