Conservation of populations: theory
This course will provide you with a theoretical overview of the processes driving the dynamics in small and declining populations, such as population growth, connectivity, demographic stochasticity, as well as genetics and fitness in small populations. You will also learn practical tools of conservation relevance through population models and analyses of genetic data.
Teaching Format
The course consists of lectures and seminars, as well as practical exercises to understand the dynamics in small and threatened populations.
Assessment
The course will be examined through a written exam as well as participation in seminars and exercises.
