Second Language Acquisition

This course focuses on research on the learning of second languages and deepens students’ knowledge of the phenomenon, addressing it in a cross-disciplinary manner, from different theoretical perspectives and methodological approaches.

The course also traces the growth and development of the field of second language research. Key theories, questions and methods will be exemplified and discussed. Students will read, analyze and critically evaluate research publications in the field, and explain and discuss their overarching research questions, results and further implications.
