Labour Market Economics

In this course you will study topics such as the analyses of employment and unemployment, wage distribution, discrimination, and labour mobility. The aim is to provide you with an understanding of the functioning of the labour market and the effects of various public policies.

The course deals with institutional arrangements of the labour market, terms and conditions under which workers supply their labour and under which firms demand their labour.

This course replaces Labour Market Economics with course code EC2102.

This is a 7.5 credit course.

Instruction is given in the form of lectures. The language of instruction is English.


Assessment

The course is examined on the basis of written examinations.

Examiner
