The Tectonics course covers an Introduction of the overall structure of Earth.

The Tectonics course covers an Introduction of the overall structure of Earth, convection in the mantle, plate kinematics and then looks in some detail on divergent and convergent (subduction zone and collision belts) plate boundaries. The development of ore deposits and magmatism in these setting will also be addressed. If time permits, a brief outline of climate/tectonics interactions will be given.







The schedule will be available no later than one month before the start of the course. We do not recommend print-outs as changes can occur. At the start of the course, your department will advise where you can find your schedule during the course.
