Introductory Course in Law

The Study Programme in Law (Juristprogrammet) begins with the course "Introductory Course in Law". This course is taught in Swedish and provides students with a foundation in legal methodology, with a focus on the use of legal sources and an overview of the Swedish legal system.

"Introductory Course in Law" is a mandatory course within the Study Programme in Law (Juristprogrammet) and the Bachelor of Legal Science (Filosofie kandidatexamen i rättsvetenskap) at the Department of Law, Stockholm University. The course is taught in Swedish and is taken at the very start of the programme. Its overall aim is to provide students with the foundational knowledge, skills and abilities needed for continued legal studies. Among other things, the course offers an overview of the structure and logic of the Swedish legal system.
