Essay on Swedish Geography

Through the course Essay on Swedish Geography, 7,5 HECs, you will be able to describe and discuss, verbally and in written form, in depth knowledge in a chosen thematic field from the course ”Swedish Geography”.

This course primarily targets exchange students and foreign students at Stockholm University, especially students in geography, planning and other subjects in the social sciences.

It is a flexible module, i.e. much of the tuition is individual and the study tempo can be 50% during period C–D, about 80% period C and 20% period D, or about 20% period C and 80% period D.

The Language of instruction is English.


Teaching Format

Obligatory teaching format includes seminars and individual supervision.

Learning objectives

On completion of this module students will be able to:

  • present verbally and in written form in-depth knowledge in a chosen topic of human geography research with illustrations and empirical data from the situation in Sweden. 

Assessment

The examination primarily involves individual in-depth work on an essay developing a chosen topic from the course “Swedish Geography”.
