Project in Urban and Regional Planning
Project in Urban and Regional Planning, 15 HECs, is an optional part of the fifth semester of the Bachelor's Programme in Urban and Regional Planning, 180 HECs, at Stockholm University.
The course provides training in project-based work, including the initiation, planning and implementation of a practice-oriented project. You will identify and formulate problems and research questions, collect, process and analyse data, and draw conclusions.
Teaching Format
Compulsory teaching elements include the course introduction, seminars and project meetings.
Detailed information, including assessment criteria, is provided during the course introduction and via the learning platform Athena.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, you are expected to be able to:
- initiate, plan and carry out a project within a given timeframe
- identify and formulate problems and research questions relevant to planning practice
- collect, process and analyse empirical material, and formulate policy-relevant conclusions
- present and summarise the project and its results, both orally and in writing, for different audiences
- critically reflect on the project and your own learning
Assessment
Assessment is based on oral and written presentations of the project, review of other projects, and a project diary.
Examiner
Several teachers are involved in the assessment and grading of the course.
