Project on Assignment in Human Geography

The course consists of an independently applied project. In collaboration with an organisation external to the Department of Human Geography, you will collect, process and analyse data based on relevant research questions.

Project on Assignment in Human Geography, 15 credits, is offered as a freestanding course during both the first and second half of the autumn and spring semesters. Admission requires 150 credits, including a degree project of 15 credits in human geography or geography, or 15 credits from a Master’s programme in human geography.

The overall learning objective is that, upon completion of the course, you will be able to apply your methodological and theoretical knowledge in collaboration with an external organisation, and reflect on the usefulness of the results. The course also aims to enhance your employability.

You will present your results both in writing and orally to the external organisation and to the course lecturer(s), and, if possible, also to other course participants.

You are responsible for arranging your own client organisation. Before the project can begin, both the client and the project must be approved by the course coordinator.
