Art, Architecture and Cultural Heritage in a Global Perspective II
The course examines tangible and intangible cultural heritage from a global perspective. The focus is on the role of cultural heritage during wars, disasters, conflicts, and colonialism, as well as repatriation and other
reconciliation processes in relation to cultural heritage.
The course also discusses the international trade in cultural objects and the impact of mass tourism on heritage.
Teaching Format
The teaching consists of lectures, seminars, and excursions.
Assessment
The course is assessed through ongoing oral assignments and a take-home written assignment, which is presented and discussed in a final seminar.
