Project Course in Phonetics
In this course, you will carry out a small phonetic research project.
The project work involves, on a full-time basis over five weeks, carrying out a well-defined research project in phonetics.
During the course you will get acquainted with project’s theoretical foundation, identify research questions, and conduct a review of previous research within the project’s topic.
To complete the work, you will also need to choose a method suitable for addressing the research questions.
You will then discuss the results in relation to previous research and present them both in writing and orally.
The project may also include participation in an ongoing phonetics research project at the Department of Linguistics.
Teaching Format
Teaching is conducted in the form of individual or group supervision. Attendance at any scheduled project meetings is a course requirement.
Instruction is given in English, either online or on campus as specified for each course session.
Assessment
The course is examined through:
- an oral presentation
- a written report presenting the completed work
The examination is conducted in English.
