Phonetics - Master's (60 Credits) course

In the Master's course, you will write your degree thesis. The course is offered exclusively within the Master's Programme in Linguistics with a specialisation in Phonetics.

The course broadens and deepens your knowledge of the subject in light of current research findings. In your thesis project, you will independently formulate and carry out a defined research task.

Thesis Project
The thesis is preparatory for research and provides you with training in planning, conducting, and presenting an independent academic project.

Teaching Format

Teaching is provided in the form of seminars and supervision.

Assessment

The course is assessed through:

  • a written project proposal specifying the subject of the thesis
  • a written thesis presenting the student’s completed research project
  • a defence of the student’s own thesis
  • an opposition on another student’s thesis
  • active participation in seminar discussions.
