Risk Analysis
The course provides an understanding of theories and methods of risk analysis and its role in decision analysis.
After completing the course, the student should be familiar with:
- Theoretical aspects of the concept of risk and definitions of risk and uncertainty.
- The risk analysis process.
- Risk classification.
- Risk assessment and quantitative risk indices for applications in safety and finance.
- Cost-benefit analysis and multi-criteria decision analysis for the evaluation of risk management alternatives.
- Risk analysis in vague and imprecise domains.
