Meteorologi, självständigt arbete

For 10 weeks you will work independently with a research project within Meteorology, Oceanography and Climate Physics. You choose which field you want to study and build the project together with your advisor, who will guide you during the work. Key moments are the planning, execution and reporting of your research project.

The course ends with a scientific report which will be reviewed by an expert committee. You will present and defend your work orally in a seminar.

As a part of the degree project, you will also participate in the course Science Ethics (Vetenskaplighet) in which you will learn about the different ethical aspects associated with scientific research.

The course is given at undergraduate level in daytime and primarily consists of independent work. One week is spent on science ethics with mandatory prescence. To achieve the best grades, the project must be completed within a certain time frame, which can be extended if there are special circumstances.

The course consists of two parts:

  • Project, 13.5 credits
  • Science Ethics, 1.5 credits

You must register separately for the Science Ethics part.

Individual guidance and tutoring for the project and seminars in the Science Ethics course. You have a right to receive 10 hours of tutoring during the course.
