Anthropological Fieldwork
The course primarily consists of a period of ethnographic fieldwork. The student prepares a research project which is then carried out in the form of a shorter fieldwork period. The topic of the project is formulated in consultation with a supervisor at the department.
The fieldwork builds on anthropological research methods and an anthropological theoretical framework. It acts as the foundation on which the Master’s thesis is based.
Fieldwork can be carried out in Sweden or another part of the world. However, students are responsible for ensuring that the necessary finances exist. The course is complte on the presentation of a written report to the supervisor.
The schedule will be available no later than one month before the start of the course.
We do not recommend print-outs as changes can occur. At the start of the course,
your department will advise where you can find your schedule during the course.
Note that the course literature can be changed up to two months before the start of the course.
