Master's Thesis in Social Anthropology
During the course, the student carry out an independent scientific thesis of a social anthropological topic in the form of a written master's thesis of 20,000 - 25,000 words. The thesis is based on a two-month fieldwork that is carried out before the semester. Each student is assigned a supervisor and the thesis is written individually based on a theme of their choice that is chosen in consultation with the supervisor. The master's thesis covers a whole semester's work and requires independent work at an advanced level. The course concludes with a mandatory seminar where students defend their own work and oppose another student's thesis.
The schedule will be available no later than one month before the start of the course.

your department will advise where you can find your schedule during the course.
