About me

I am a PhD candidate in Private Law at the Department of Law.

I teach family law at the undergraduate course Private Law C and migration law at the undergraduate course in Public Law.

My research is within the area of Family Law and is primarily aimed at Migration Law.

My dissertation project deals with the "family concept" in Family Law and Migration Law. The aim is to analyze and critically reviewing the family concept, including investigating how it relates to Swedish Family Law and Migration Law as well as International Law. Based on this analysis, the intention is to explore how the family concept is interpreted and applied in court and agency practices, which perceptions about families are being (re)produced and which family constellations are thereby being (legally) recognized and represented – and which ones are not.

I am a part of the Stockholm Centre for the Rights of the Child. The Stockholm Centre for the Rights of the Child is located at Stockholm University and is a research centre and platform at Stockholm University.

I am also affiliated with the Swedish Network for Family and Kinship Studies at the Center for Gender Research at Uppsala University.
