About me
PhD in Sociology (2006), Associate Professor (Docent) of Sociology (2011), Professor of Quantitative Social Work (2020–2025), and Professor of Criminology (2026–). Between 2007 and 2012, I worked as a researcher at the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare.
In addition to supervising thesis projects, I currently teach on the following courses:
- Basic Quantitative Methods, 10 credits (ECTS)
- Evaluation, 15 credits (ECTS)
My research interests broadly align with the epidemiological criminology paradigm (EpiCrim), which integrates public health and criminal justice methodologies by combining epidemiological concepts and practices with corresponding criminological theories and analytical tools.
Mainly based on linked administrative population-level data, my current research focuses on:
- longitudinal studies of crime and victimization among vulnerable groups, such as individuals with experience of interventions within the child welfare/protection system; and
- evaluations of the effects of social interventions and policy changes.
