About me
I acquired both my BSc in Chemistry (2023) and MSc in Analytical Chemistry (2025) at Stockholm University. My Bachelor’s degree provided a solid foundation across chemistry, while my Master’s studies allowed me to deepen my expertise in advanced analytical techniques, focusing on a wide range of chemicals and samples. A significant emphasis was also placed on the importance of data analysis, which served as my introduction to machine learning as a tool for advanced data processing. This, in turn, sparked a deep interest in the field of computer science. My final degree project therefore focused on the prediction of potentially hazardous compounds based solely on the structural information available during non-target analysis using GC-APCI-HRMS. This allowed me to bridge the gap between analytical chemistry and computer science, becoming a multidisciplinary approach that I continue to build upon today.
I am working as a teacher assistant for the course Data Analysis: Tools for Environmental Scientists.
My current research sits at the intersection of eXplanable AI (XAI), machine learning, and environmental science. I develop and apply prediction models to environmental data, utilizing XAI methods to "open the black-box" of machine learning, elucidating what relationships in the data the models are actually identifying. My work aims to both validate established chemical relationships and uncover novel patterns between input features and environmental outcomes that traditional analysis might overlook.
