About me

Myself Hari, presently doing PhD in ACES, Stockholm University.  Basically, I am an electronics and communication engineer transformed into an aerosol scientist. My areas of interest are atmospheric science and physicochemical properties of atmospheric aerosols.

My PhD Work

South and East Asian regions together comprise more than a quarter of the world’s total population and atmospheric aerosols play a vital role in influencing the quality of the regional air and the climate. Though intense studies and experimental campaigns have been carried out to investigate the South and East Asian aerosol systems, there exists a factor of 2-3 offset in the quantification of aerosol absorption relative to the climate model predictions and the observational values, leading to large uncertainties in aerosol-induced health and climate effects. My thesis titled "Absorption enhancement in Dust and Black Carbon aerosols over South and East Asian regions" aims to contribute to narrow this prevailing model-observation gap.
