Research

Essentially, my research has focused on issues concerning the sub-national level and mainly the local level in terms of municipalities.  The issues addressed within the framework of the overall theme have been public administration and the governance reforms and organizational changes that it has been subject to, such as market governance and competition, as well as an increased focus on interactive and collaborative forms of governance.  Furthermore, conditions for political decision-making based on both structural and actor-oriented factors have also been in focus.

Three main empirical areas have been in focus;

Local migration and integration policies
School policy with a focus on the establishment of independent schools
Risk and risk management policy
