About me
I am Associate Professor in Translation Studies at Stockholm University, and teach across a range of translation modules, working with students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. This includes teaching on translation theory, LSP and terminology, as well as practical translation skills (lately I have developed a course in translation between closely-related languages, in this case from Danish/Norwegian into Swedish).
My research focusses on speech-to-text interpreting and live subtitling, translation of children's literature, as well as tourism text translation.
I teach general and specialized translation practice modules as well as translation theory. I am also a supervisor for students at different levels.
I was previously affiliated with Uppsala University, where I taught German linguistics and translation theory.
In the field of speech-to-text interpreting and live subtitling, I am currently working on a study of ergonomics and sustainability in live subtitling. I am also conducting research into translation of children's literature, and translation of tourism texts.
My latest publications (2025) are a review of a Polish book on live subtitling for the journal Interpreting and an article in German on the translation of current Swedish tourism broschures into German, published in the journal HumaNetten 56.
