About me
At the Centre for the Advancement of University Teaching, I am administratively responsible for:
- Introductory courses for teaching in the natural sciences and advanced professional development courses for university teachers, including University Teaching and Learning 2 (UL2), University Teaching and Learning 3 (UL3), Digital Competencies, Educational Leadership, and Pedagogical Writing Projects
- The Pedagogical Ambassadors Programme
- The Award for Good Teaching
- Consultations and institution-wide educational development assignments
Background
I have been a PhD student, university lecturer, academic advisor, international coordinator, and communications officer at the Department of Social Anthropology, as well as President of the Stockholm University Student Union.
I have taught across a range of undergraduate courses in Social Anthropology and have been responsible for a first semester course entitled "The Human World of Thought: Symbols, Stability, and Change."
I also contributed to the digital transformation of Social Anthropology I, redesigning the course as an asynchronous online learning experience and supporting its implementation in a distance-learning format.
I am an anthropologist by training. During my doctoral studies (2016-2021), I worked on a dissertation examining class and the politics of fun among Palestinian youth in the West Bank, Palestine. As part of this research, I conducted 18 months of ethnographic fieldwork in Ramallah and Birzeit in the central West Bank.
