Research project What our brain knows from using our nose

Our method is to systematically compare memory-related brain representations of odors with those of corresponding pictures (e.g., the smell of a rose vs. a picture of a rose).

Using neuroimaging techniques available at the Stockholm University Brain Imaging Centre (SUBIC), this research will provide new insights into how memories from different sensory channels are organized, and how they might be differently affected by dementia syndromes.
