Research project Gender perspective on teaching awards

This project was initiated in 2018 after the process of selecting the teacher of the year at Stockholm University showed imbalance in terms of gender of those nominated for the Teacher of the Year award. An exploration was initiated to examine the nominations from a gender perspective.
The results of the study show that the nominations were influenced by gender stereotypical thinking - something that has also been found in international studies of how students value their teachers' teachin.
