BatMapper is a citizen science project to capture information on bats and their roosting locations in Sweden.

Grasslands are one of Earth's largest biomes, covering ca. 40% of the ice-free terrestrial surface. They play a vital role for many ecosystem services, such as food production, biodiversity, pollination and carbon storage.

Forest management can contribute to climate mitigation, but we still do not know how forest soils respond to management and disturbances. This project will address this question by synthesizing knowledge on soils across European forests.

Knowledge about how changes in water flows affect conflicts is largely lacking. The goal of this project is to increase understanding of how people and the climate affect water flows and how, in turn, these changes affect cooperation and conflicts over water.

Savannas are a globally important ecosystem for climate change and grazing wildlife and livestock. Fire is a major driver of savanna vegetation dynamics, and we aim to better understand how fire management affects plant species distributions.

This project is performed in collaboration between the Geological Survey of Sweden and researchers at the Linnaeus University and Stockholm University to evaluate and develop a spatial model for the occurrence of acid sulphate soils.
