Doctoral programme

The Department offers a Post-Graduate Programme in Geography with a Specialization in Human Geography. The programme is taught in English and/or Swedish.

Doctor – four year Third Cycle programme

Master's programmes

Master's programmes are run in Human Geography, in Urban and Regional Planning, and in Globalization, Environment and Social Change; all three in English.

Master – two year Second Cycle programmes

Bachelor's programmes

The bachelor's programmes are in Human Geography – Society, Environment and Global Processes, and in Urban and Regional Planning; both taught in Swedish.

Bachelor's – three year First Cycle programmes

Exchange studies

The Stockholm University Department of Human Geography offer courses in Human Geography, Urban and Regional Planning, and Geography. Courses are in the First Cycle (under-graduate or bachelor, 3 years), the Second Cycle (graduate or master, 2 years), and the Third Cycle (post-graduate or doctorial, 4 years).
