The series Meddelanden ("Reports") originates in the report series initiated early in the 1930s at the Geographical Institute of what was then the University College of Stockholm. When the Geographical Department early in the 1960s was divided into two departments, of Physical and Human Geography respectively, the Report series was also divided and given a new numbering, called Serie B.

Today the series contains both larger works, such as doctoral dissertations (from 2008 all doctoral dissertations that consists of a collection of (previously published) articles by the candidate, with a summary, and all Swedish doctoral dissertations) or scientific reports of a rather definite character, and smaller items such as offprints from scholarly journals. Beginning with 1996 (No. 96) the designation "serie B" is abolished, the full name of the series being "Meddelanden från Kulturgeografiska institutionen vid Stockholms universitet". Prices without Swedish VAT.

ISSN 0585-3508.

The series is sold through the Department of Human Geography, Stockholm University, e-mail information@humangeo.su.se.
