Summary
The thesis will be focused on the relationship between the structure, transformation and composition of the housing market and effects of such processes. In my first article I study the role of the rental sector for variation in prevalence of housing deprivation across 26 European countries, using European Union Survey on Income and Living Conditions (EU-SILC). In the next article, co-written with Maria Brandén, we study the relationship between home-ownership and unemployment in Sweden. The next two articles will be focussing on residualisation that is, examining poverty level among households across tenure types in Sweden. The last article will be about newly built housing and social mix of households, also in Sweden.
