Demography is the study of populations, their size, composition, distribution and population changes. Vital parts are the collection, processing and analyses of population statistics.
Demographers also seek to explain the connection between population development and economic, cultural and political factors.
The education in Demography at the Department of Sociology is performed in English and consists of programmes and courses at the master´s level and of doctoral studies in Sociological Demography.
