Study Demography and Sociology with us!

How to apply

Here you will find information on how to apply to all of our Master's programmes taught in English: application deadline, general and specific entry requirements tuition fees and more. Master’s programmes at Department of Sociology  have only one admission round for all applicants with deadline January 15, 2021!  So if you want to apply to one of our Master´s programmes starting autumn 2021 the application deadline is January 15, 2021.

Sociology

If concepts like power structures, social stratification and social structures arouse your interest, study Sociology! Sociology is about seeing men and women as members of societies in terms of family life and working life as well as members of the society at large. You will learn about how we function as members of society, how changes in society and within organizations affect us.

Demography

Demography is the study of human populations – their size, composition and distribution across space – and the process through which populations change. Births, deaths and migration are the ‘big three’ of demography, jointly producing population stability or change. The subject is very useful for understanding social and economic problems and identifying potential solutions.
