Johan Lundström
Johan Lundström is the Senior Advisor of SUBIC. He is an Associate Professor at the Karolinska Insitutet and at the Monell Center/University of Pennsylvania. His research is aimed toward a better understanding of the neural and perceptual basis for multisensory perception and integration with a focus on the chemical senses (smell, taste, and their combination - flavor) that, by their very nature, are conveyed almost exclusively as multisensory perceptions. This work involves a wide range of experimental methods, including psychophysical and cognitive tests in both healthy and individuals with sensory dysfunctions, functional brain imaging (fMRI & EEG/ERP), and structural brain imaging and morphometry.
