Ecology

The ecology division has a rich history of both basic and applied research across the whole field of ecology. Our research includes investigations of the evolutionary forces that shape species and species interactions, as well as studies at the higher ecological levels of populations, communities and ecosystems. The wide range of ecological questions allows for fruitful collaboration between research themes, as well as with other parts of the zoology department and external parties. Our study species span the animal kingdom, from insects to large mammals.
