TEM (Transmission Electron Microscopy) is used to examine ultra thin preparations of tissue. The museum runs the TAM-laboratory for cutting and preparation of matieral. The microscope is places at the Stockholm University.

The Vegacenter provides the scientific community with state-of-the-art microbeam analytical technology focused on in situ material analysis at the micron scale, permitting both fundamental and innovative investigation of chemical and isotopic composition of both natural and synthetic materials.
