Om mig

Belén Martín-Matute is a Professor at the Department of Organic Chemistry. She obtained her Ph.D. at the Autónoma University of Madrid, Spain and then joined the group of Prof. J.-E. Bäckvall at SU for postdoctoral studies. She started her independent career as Assistant Professor at SU in 2008, and became Associate Professor in 2012, and full Professor in 2014. She has been a visiting researcher at the University of Toronto (Canada), at Boston College (USA) and at the ICIQ research institute in Tarragona (Spain). She received the Young Investigator Award from the Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry and Sigma Aldrich in 2007 and the Lindbomska Award from the Swedish Academy of Sciences in 2013. In 2011, she was awarded a VINNMER Marie Curie international qualification grant from VINNOVA for specializing in continuous flow chemistry. She currently holds research collaborations with different academic groups in Germany, UK, Slovenia, Sweden and Spain, and with several Swedish pharmaceutical companies.



KO7009 Organometallic Synthesis and Catalysis


Her research focuses on the development of efficient and selective homogeneous and heterogeneous catalytic reactions for the construction of carbon-carbon and carbon-heteroatom bonds, and on the synthesis of functionalized metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) for catalytic applications.
