Noushin Emami is awarded Flormanska belöningen 2023 by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences

The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences has awarded Noushin Emami Flormanska belöningen 2023 for her research on the chemical substances which affect mosquitos’ behavior and ability to spread vector-borne parasites to humans.

We work on infectious-disease biology with a focus on host-pathogen-vector signalling-communication. We provide a fundamental/quantitative description of communication in infection-biology/behaviour plasticity, and genetics towards the design of novel scientific technologies.
