The Department of Political Science Open House 2025

Date: Wednesday 8 October 2025

Time: 09.30 – 16.30

Location: Auditorium 2, Södra huset A, third floor

The department welcomes alumni as well as current and prospective students to the Open House on October 8. The day will include lectures in current political areas, a panel discussion and mingling with the department's alumni, and the department's annual opening lecture.

 

Schedule and registration

  • 09:30–12:00 – Brief lectures with Q&A on topics such as What is Political Science?, International Relations, Swedish Politics, and Environmental Politics. This event is primarily for prospective students who wish to engage with broader political science topics.
  • 13:00–14:30 – Panel Discussion and Mingle with Departmental Alumni. This event is primarily for current students, prospective students, and alumni. 
  • 15:00–16:30 – The Department’s Annual Opening Lecture, delivered this year by Jan Teorell, Professor of Political Science and holder of the Lars Johan Hierta professorial chair. This event is primarily for current students, alumni, and staff. But high-school students are also welcome.
