About the faculty
The Faculty of Humanities at Stockholm University is one of the largest faculties in Sweden. It conducts research and education in what is often described as the "three pillars" of the humanities – culture, aesthetics and language.

The Faculty of Humanities is one of the four faculties at Stockholm University and consists of thirteen departments and ten institutes/centres.
Faculty Board
The Faculty's decision-making body is the Faculty Board, where the Dean of the Faculty is chairman and the Deputy Dean is vice-chairman.
The Faculty Board's committees consist of: the budget committee, the docent board, the scholarship committee, the academic appointments board, and the research programmes board.
Collaboration and partners
The teachers and researchers at the Faculty of Humanities collaborate with the surrounding society in many different ways – through public lectures and seminars, popular science publications, information and assignments for authorities and for the private sector. Below you will find some of the faculty's ongoing collaborations.
