TEDx Stockholm University explores new ways to take on these challenges, the hidden solutions that are all around us, and what we can do to create real change.

Todd Ehlers – The worst idea ever
Todd is Professor and Head of School at the University of Glasgow, known for his research on climate, tectonics, biota and the Earth’s surface. His interests span past climates and environmental change preserved in the geologic record to our present-day and future global warming and biodiversity crisis. Todd is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh.
John Hassler – Climate neutrality is easier than you think
John is Professor of Economics at the Institute for International Economic Studies at Stockholm University, known for his research is on public finance, social mobility, growth and climate change. He is as a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Science, chairs the committee for the Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel, and has worked as advisor to the Swedish Ministry of Finance and the European Economic Advisory Group.
Christina Fredengren – Expect the unexpected
Christina is Professor of Archaeology at Stockholm and Uppsala Universities, known for her research on archaeology, heritage studies, curatorship, gender theory and the environmental humanities. She explores meeting points between nature and culture, crannogs, post humanist feminism, deep time ethics, as well as intragenerational justice and care.
Kevin Noone – Reformation 2.0
Kevin Noone is Professor Emeritus of Chemical Meteorology at Stockholm University and a firm believer in the importance of conveying science the general public and stakeholders. He is known for his research on global sustainability, and on the role of aerosols and clouds in climate and air quality. Kevin was Director of the International Geosphere-Biosphere Programme and is Chief Scientific Advisor at the International Sustainable Finance Centre and Re-Define. He engages widely in science outreach, working with NGOs, businesses, faith groups, and policymakers.
Maria Wolrath-Söderberg – Stop making excuses
Maria Wolrath Söderberg is an associate professor of Rhetoric at Södertörn University. Her research focuses on how people reason about climate change. Most of us want to contribute to, and leave behind, a sustainable world, but we still live in a way that harms the climate. How do we deal with that dissonance? And what can make us change?
My Schüldt – Stop interrupting! How to listen so people can think
My Schüldt is a trainer in the Thinking Environment – which fosters participation, engagement, creativity, and efficiency in organizations. She is known for her work helping teams and leaders function better and she is passionate about helping individuals think with engagement so they can move forward in developing their mission and themselves.
Anca Anton – Build trust first! How to communicate about the environment today
Anca Anton is a lecturer at the University of Bucharest, known for her research and teaching about intercultural communication, negotiation, online PR, digital writing and marketing. She is active in civil society as vice-president of the youth NGO Team Work. As an educator, Anca is a key player in Erasmus programs on PR and lobbying, and in the European Civic University - CIVIS.
Andreas Magnusson – Daring to act creates the hope you long for
Andreas is a moderator, presenter, activist, and speaker, who works with climate and sustainability issues. With a background from Fridays for Future, he works as a project manager for Climate Live Sweden. He approaches social issues with playfulness and curiosity, emphasizing the power of storytelling and the importance of youth engagement. Andreas is a recipient of the HM King Carl XVI foundation “Young Leadership” award.
