Location: Frescati campus

Join our Welcome Day, an afternoon filled with activities such as speed friending, mini lectures, a library introduction, and more. You will receive useful tips for a smooth start to the new semester and get to know other new students, both national and international.

Programme

Welcome Fair with fika (12:00-16:00)

Meet the representatives of the support units at the university like the Academic Writing Service, the Student Health Services and IT-Services. At the fair, you also meet the different student unions and associations. Coffee and sweets will be served.

Speed friending (12:00-16:00)

Mingle and get to know other new students, both national and international, in a fun way. You might even bump into some of your future classmates!

Mini lectures

13:30-14:00: Studying effectively - practical tips
14:45-15:15: Study abroad as part of your education

Stockholm University Library

Come to the library and take a quiz to learn how to find your way around the shelves. You’ll also have the chance to meet the librarians, pick up a bookmark, and take part in the information session.

Student pubs (16:00-)

At the end of the day, you can visit the various student pubs around campus. Visit the pubs and get to know the Stockholm University Student Union (SUS), the associations, and other students!
