Famous Works of Literature Written in English
In this course, students will study a selection of famous literary works from the English canon as well as be given an opportunity to get acquainted with critical concepts by reading critical texts related to the literary works.

Teaching Format
The teaching comprises seminars and lectures. More detailed information will be available in the course description.
Apart from scheduled teaching, time will be spent reading course literature and completing mandatory assignments.
Assessment
Oral and written assignments.
Deadline for all assignments, autumn 2026: 17 January 2027. Resubmission deadline: 23 February.
