Transnational Litigation: European and Comparative Private International Law is given as an elective course within the framework of the exchange programmes at the Department of Law, Stockholm University. Swedish law students admitted by the department are also given access to the course.

The course explores jurisdiction, choice of law, recognition and enforcement of judgments, and procedural coordination across legal systems. Emphasizing both theoretical foundations and practical applications, the course analyzes key EU regulations, international conventions, and comparative approaches in other jurisdictions. Through case studies and contemporary issues, students develop a critical understanding of cross-border litigation and the evolving challenges in global legal practice.
