AI expert represents Stockholm University at Stockholm Explorative Talks
Stanley Greenstein will represent Stockholm University at the 3rd edition of Stockholms Akademiska Forums live event ‘Stockholm Explorative Talks’ – a collaboration that brings together scholars from different disciplines on stage, representing all the 18 universities of Stockholm.
On the 23rd of September, the Stockholm Explorative Talks will take place at the Royal Hall at KMH, Royal College of Music in Stockholm. This will be the first time 18 academics from different disciplines and academic backgrounds will be on a stage together, representing all 18 of Stockholm’s higher education institutions.
This year’s theme is ‘Challenges’. During this day, the researchers will be meeting each other for the first time on stage and – totally unrehearsed – engage each other in an interaction where they will exchange interdisciplinary perspectives on current issues facing our planet. The whole event will be live-streamed with only a limited number of attendees in place at the venue.
Lectures on Law and IT
Stanley Greenstein, Jur. Dr. and Senior Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Law and Information Technology (IT) at the Department of Law, will be representing Stockholm University in this diverse group of scholars. His main area of research is the interaction between technology and law.
Stanleys work has centered on the topic of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning, and its ethical and societal implications. At the department, he is a co-worker at the Swedish Law and Informatics Research Institute (IRI) and teaches in several different courses. He is also a member of the Swedish Society for IT and Law (SIJU) election committee and sits on the Board of The Foundation for Legal Information (Stiftelsen för rättsinformation).
– I am truly excited to be joining the many distinguished panelists at the forthcoming Stockholm Explorative Talks On-Stage event. The unique format of this event will no doubt promote the exchange of many creative ideas in an interdisciplinary setting and the relaxed atmosphere is bound to generate interesting perspectives.
