Stockholm University is ranked on place 118 in this year’s edition of QS World University Rankings, which was presented on June 27.

The ranking is better than last year’s ranking at 153, Stockholm University has thus risen 35 steps in this year’s ranking. Among Swedish higher education institutions, Stockholm University is in fourth place.
The QS Rankings is published annually by British Quacquarelli Symonds (QS). The ranking is based on various indicators where academic reputation weighs the most. Other indicators are reputation among employees, citations per faculty, number of teachers in relation to students, proportion of international students and proportion of international researchers.
The list is topped this year by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) followed by the University of Cambridge and the University of Oxford.
