About me

I hold a PhD in Science Education from the Department of Teaching & Learning at Stockholm University. In recent years, I have worked part-time as an adjunct lecturer in teacher education, primarily students specialising in Grades F–3 and 4–6, and as an upper-secondary school lecturer in the City of Stockholm.

As part of my position, I coordinate teacher driven R&D projects within Stockholm Teaching & Learning Studies (STLS). In autumn 2025, I began a part-time position as coordinator for the ULF Huvudstadsnod.

I have also taken part in the project Enacting Sex Education: a practice based study concerning an interdisciplinary knowledge content in Swedish secondary school (financed by the Swedish Research Council). Together with Auli Arvola Orlander and Lotta Billing, I have in recent years conducted a research project on sexuality education from preschool class through the middle years of compulsory school (2023–2024) (financed by the ULF agreement).

In addition, I am a member of the research group Encountering Subject Matter Didactics and Post-Theoretical Approaches and co-coordinate the Educational science network for sexuality and relationships (UnSeR) together with Simon Ceder (Konstfack) and Rebecka Fingalsson (Malmö University).

Sexuality, consent and relationships in the early years of primary school

This practice-based research project investigates how the knowledge area of sexuality, consent and relationships can be constructed in relation to teaching younger children – 5-13 years old. The purpose of the project is to explore and develop sexuality education and support teachers in their role.

UNKA - Teaching About the Nature of Science and Scientific Practices

In the project, we investigate how high school teachers in science education can work to develop teaching about the nature and practices of science. We also take a closer look at how collaboration among high school teachers can contribute to the knowledge base of the teaching profession.
