In her dissertation project, Alexandra Zahariadis Palmaers is interested in discourses about children, play and governance in policy and other source materials related to Swedish preschool during the period 1970-2020.
The preschool is today an established children's institution that creates and reproduces ideas about children and childhood - via speeches, texts and pictures in and about the preschool. Such beliefs are crucial both for children's everyday life and for the action and living conditions the preschool offers children, parents, guardians and staff.
